An XPON (GPON/EPON) dual-mode Optical Network Terminal (ONT) featuring 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports. Designed for FTTH (Fiber to the Home), SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) broadband access, and triple-play services (voice, video, and data).
The VSOL V2804RGW is a high-performance XPON Optical Network Terminal designed to meet the demands of FTTH and SOHO broadband access. The VSOL V2804RGW is a 4-port Gigabit XPON ONT. Features dual-mode (GPON/EPON) technology, N300 Wi-Fi, and robust QoS for FTTH and SOHO broadband networks.
1. Core Technology & Flexibility
XPON Dual Mode: The device automatically detects and adapts to both GPON (ITU-T G.984) and EPON (IEEE 802.3ah) networks, ensuring compatibility with various OLTs from mainstream chipset manufacturers like Broadcom, PMC, and Cortina.
Plug and Play: It supports auto-detection, auto-configuration, and auto-firmware upgrade for simplified deployment.
2. Multiple Wired Connections
4 Gigabit LAN Ports: The device provides four 10/100/1000Mbps auto-adaptive Ethernet interfaces. These can support multiple wired devices such as PCs, smart TVs, IP cameras, or additional switches.
3. Wireless Connectivity
Wi-Fi 4 (N300): The ONT features 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi technology with speeds up to 300Mbps using 2T2R MIMO technology, suitable for standard web browsing and video streaming.
4. Management and Security
The ONT supports bridge and routing modes along with Layer 3 features like NAT, DHCP, and PPPoE. It includes robust security features such as ACL-based filtering and firewall protection.
Management can be done via WEB, TELNET, and supports OAM/OMCI protocols for remote configuration by service providers.
Note on Variants: There is also a variant, the V2804RGWT, which adds CATV (analog TV over optical port) functionality and dual 5dBi external antennas for better Wi-Fi coverage.
