Terms & Conditions for Warranty and Sales

Dear Valued Customers,

SYSTECH BD always prioritizes the satisfaction of its customers. However, to ensure that our customer service is excellent, timely, and efficient, we operate under a set of essential rules and regulations. We kindly request that all esteemed customers carefully review the following terms and conditions before purchasing computer products from SYSTECH BD. Thank you.


I. Understanding Product Warranty

The warranties declared at the time of sale are fundamentally provided by the product manufacturer. This means the specific brand's original company primarily bears the warranty service responsibility for the sold product.

  • Each brand has distinct warranty service policies and conditions, which are detailed on their respective official websites.

  • SYSTECH BD acts as an intermediary to enforce the warranty conditions set forth by the original brand companies.

  • SYSTECH BD adheres to the warranty policies provided by international, national, and the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) standards for every product.

  • A warranty is a contract between the manufacturer/importer and the buyer, where the manufacturer/importer takes responsibility for the repair or replacement of the sold product. SYSTECH BD assists the buyer in obtaining this service.


II. General Warranty Conditions

  • Not all products are covered by a warranty. Warranty coverage is only effective for products where the original company officially declares a warranty period.

  • Most products imported by SYSTECH BD receive warranty service within a short period, and many are replaced immediately upon receiving a complaint.

  • Laptop Warranties: Warranty periods for laptops vary from 1-3 years depending on the brand and model. However, the warranty for all laptop batteries and adapters is strictly 1 year.

  • If a fault is detected in a product under warranty, the defect will be resolved through repair, or the product may be immediately replaced depending on the product type.

  • If the exact model is not available for replacement, SYSTECH BD may replace it with a product of equivalent specifications from a different brand currently in our stock.

  • If the product is irreparable, and an identical or equivalent product is not available in our stock, it may be replaced with a superior product after adjusting for depreciation and price differences.

  • If the product is irreparable and an equivalent replacement is not available, a refund of the money may be offered after adjusting for sales depreciation.


III. Exclusions and Service Timelines

  • Data and Software: SYSTECH BD is not liable for any loss or damage to software or data that occurs during product use or our service process. Data recovery or software re-installation is not the responsibility of SYSTECH BD.

  • Service Timeframe: The time required to return a product after service under warranty is not fixed. This time may range from 5-7 days to a maximum of 35-40 days or more, as necessary spare parts often need to be specially imported due to insufficient buffer stock in the country, which is time-consuming.

  • Repair Nature: Most warranty products are not repaired; instead, the faulty part is replaced, often by importing the replacement from abroad.

  • Custom Setup: The computer setup and operating system customization provided at the time of sale are not covered under warranty.

  • Lifetime Warranty (L.T.W.): L.T.W. implies warranty service is provided for the period the product is considered a current market product. If a product is declared EOL (End of Life) and becomes obsolete, the warranty will cease. According to BCS policy, customers can enjoy L.T.W. service for a maximum of 2 (two) years.

  • Non-Warranty Service: SYSTECH BD may charge a fee for any service outside the warranty coverage, which will be carried out with the customer's consent.

  • Service Warranty: If any part needs replacement or addition during service under a service warranty, the customer must arrange for the part themselves or purchase it through SYSTECH BD upon advance payment and consent.

  • Free Service Risk: SYSTECH BD is not liable if a problem arises or a new problem is created in the product during a free software or hardware tuning provided by SYSTECH BD, either within or after the warranty period.

  • Monitor Dead Pixels: A minimum of 3 or more dead pixels must be visible on a monitor to qualify for a warranty claim.

  • Box Mandatory: The customer must bring the product box when claiming a warranty.


IV. Cases Where Warranty is VOID or Conditional

The warranty will not be effective, or may be conditional, in the following circumstances:

  • Misuse/Physical Damage: Defects caused by careless use, such as water damage, breakage, burning, physical impact, or deep scratches.

  • Serial Number Damage: If the product's serial number or serial sticker is partially or completely erased, removed, or damaged for any reason.

  • Fungus/Corrosion: Motherboards, Graphics Cards, and RAM with visible fungus, rust, deep scratches, or corrosive damage.

  • CPU/Motherboard Pins: Motherboards and Processors found with one or more pins completely or partially broken, bent, or distorted.

  • BIOS Password: The customer is fully responsible for any BIOS password on Laptops, Desktops, or any other device, as SYSTECH BD does not apply any passwords during delivery. This is not covered under warranty.

  • Apple Mac Book OS: The warranty is void if the original Apple Mac Book operating system is erased.

  • Consumables: Printer cartridges, toners, heads, rollers, drums, element covers, maintenance boxes, and similar components are excluded from warranty.

  • Printer Ink/Toner: Using ink, ink cartridges, or toner cartridges other than those specified by the manufacturer will void the printer's warranty.

  • Combo Sets: For specific Combo (bundled) Keyboard-Mouse sets, the entire combo set (with accessories) must be presented for a warranty claim if either the keyboard or mouse is damaged. Presenting only one item is not acceptable.

  • Power Adapters: Power adapters for printers, scanners, routers, switches, access points, TV cards, and similar products are not covered by the warranty.

  • Unclaimed Products: If a product remains in the Warranty/Service department for more than 2 months after the service is completed, the company will not be responsible for the product.

  • Lost Receipt: If the warranty receipt is lost, the product will be accepted upon presentation of the purchase invoice and adequate proof of ownership.


V. Important Notice

SYSTECH BD reserves the right to cancel any product order, with or without notifying the customer, if the price on the website is inconsistent with the current market price/Maximum Retail Price due to a technical error.

Disclaimer: SYSTECH BD is not responsible for any fraud experienced by customers who purchase SYSTECH BD products (used/unused) from any other individual or entity using fake invoices without proper verification.
